Description:
A striking example of 1960s studio pottery by Canadian artists Jack and Lorraine Herman. The heavy stoneware bowl is deeply incised, the pattern of lines and foliage highlighted by a cream glaze alternating with the raw fired red clay. The technique is reminiscent of pottery of the same period from the Swedish maker Upsala Ekeby.

Condition:
Good pre-owned condition, light interior water mark, no damage.

Dimensions:
8" diameter x 3" high.
