A finely woven vintage
Mexican wool serape.
The pattern is known
as "Ojo de Dios" (God's Eye) .
Woven in a series
of horizontal graduated stripes of colour that meet in a central field
of deep blue containing an minutely woven multi-coloured diamond. Finished
with a detailed and delicate seven inch fringe.
Condition:
In good pre-owned
condition: there is a spot of colour transfer and the fringe has a few
areas of separation.
Dimensions:
59" wide x 85" long
plus an additional 7" fringe at both ends.
