The famous Rubiayat
by Omar Khayyam in English as translated by Edward Fitzgerald. 1942 Copyright
by David McKay and printed in Beck gravure by the Beck engraving company
of New York and Phileldphia. The illustrations by Willy Pogeny are breathtaking
from the nudes to the anthropomorphic bottles it is a beautiful printing.
Condition:
Paper has aged (slightly
yellowed) towards edges, some marks on inner leaves at the back. The book
was signed by the owner and the jacket and spine show wear (please see
photos below). No missing or torn pages.
