Antique African Nbedele Beaded Apron

Description:
This antique beaded  garment was made by the women of the African Ndebele tribe of Southern Africa. These aprons defined a woman's marriageable (or not) status. The geometric beadwork is sewn onto a very stiff canvas and works well displayed on a wall.
