Description:
This beautiful antique
quilt dates from the mid to late 1800's and is a vibrant combination of
richly textured and patterned silk & wool with a rose pink cotton backing.
The embroidery includes flowers, butterflies, a ladder and the inscription
"Made by Mother".
Condition:
Approximately 20
percent of the silk patches are gone entirely, disintegrated over time
or have tearing.
The quilt has no
marks or stains but should be cleaned as it has been in storage for many
years.

61 x 79 inches.
