Description:
A Deco period inkwell
or "DIP-LESS Fountain Well No. 407"
to be precise. The
glass, chrome and bakelite inkwell opens for filling which in turn loads
the reservoir so the ink can be accessed from the small hole in the front.
Exactly how one
is supposed to ink the pen without dipping is unclear to me and sadly no
one at Esterbrook is answering the telephone.
Condition:
Very good pre-owned
condition, no damage
Dimensions:
5.5" x 4" x 2" high.
Maker's Marks:
Esterbrook DIP-LESS
Fountain Well No. 407.
