Description:
An exquisitely embroidered
antique Chinese silk panel.
The panel of black
silk features identical images on either end
with a central motif
of a vase filled with flowers in various blue tones that is again surrounded
by flowers. The urn is embroidered with an impossibly fine stitch known
as "forbidden" or "seed" stitch.
Condition:
Several worn areas
on the plain black silk portion.
Dimensions:
10" x 42".
