Description:
A manual Dazey butter
churn from the 1930's.
The churn features
a tulip shaped glass jar with gears enclosed in the red metal top.
A red wood handle turns the wooden paddles inside jar.
The bottom is marked
"Dazey Churn, Pat. App. for, No. 4, Made in St. Louis, MO, Dazey Corporation".
A charming reminder of just how much work was involved in merely feeding
ourselves. I am assuming this churn still works however I have not attempted
to make butter in it.
