An exceptional Art
Deco lamp made by Chase in the 1930's.
The lamp is a modernist
interpretation of a toy soldier or sentinel and is made of brass with a
red bakelite body and black bakelite cap.
The base features
a brass sphere, a signature Chase element.
The lamp is marked
Chase on the underside of the cast metal base weight. Many thanks to David
for identifying this as Chase.
Condition:
Good pre-owned condition,
no damage and working.
Dimensions:
15" high.
Base: 7.5" high
to top of his hat, 5" diameter base.
Shade: 10" diameter
at widest point.
