Description:
A marvellous antique
typewriter in tin and oak case with a great decal proclaiming the trade
name "The Empire"
Patents are listed
for Canada, Great Britain, Victoria and New South Wales in 1892. Amazingly
this 100 year plus machine still types (haltingly and faintly) Not really
a candidate for daily typing, I have no idea where you would find a ribbon
close to 1" wide.

Significant finish
wear, particularly on the space bar and also the tin case, the machine
will need further detailing.
Dimensions:
Case closed: 14"
x 13" x 6".

20 pounds

The Empire, Made
in Canada.
