Hagenauer Copper Pot Arts & Crafts Austria
Karl Hagenauer
In 1898, goldsmith Carl Hagenauer opened a workshop in Vienna called Werkstätten Hagenauer and began producing a wide range of metal ware. His son Karl studied with such notable designers as Josef Hoffmann and became director of the family business in 1928 after his father died.
This beautifully designed and rendered copper pot features flowing, simple lines and smooth grained dark wood handles A case could be made for the 1910s or the 1920s. Whatever the precise age, this is a timeless piece, blurring the line between utilitarian kitchenware and art.

Good condition, interior is marked and there is a small split on the wood handle.

5 1/4" high, 4.5" diameter at widest point, handle 7.5" long.
