Vintage Silk Japan Meisen Ikat Fabric
One of the most beautiful textiles ever to have landed at Eclectisaurus, this narrow roll of silk pieces was made  by dying the individual threads and weaving the pattern into the fabric. The pieces have been basted together and may have been slated for kimono sleeves or for traditional Japanese door coverings known as Noran. The dramatic Art Deco pattern in pink and gray is shot through with a meandering graphic line of white, green and black.

Good pre-owned condition.

13 3/4" wide x 11 yards long (basted in sections)
